No Poems

Today I don’t have a muse for poetry.

I just want to let you know, my reader, that God is mighty! Even in the most draining and unresolve circumstances He rises above all to show His glory….JUST TRUST HIM

I Will Not Forget You

“Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. (‭Isaiah‬ ‭49‬:‭15‬ NKJV)

All the time people are coming in and out of our lives. There are some that do not want to be part of it. They simply walk away. Then there are others that push us away. Not because we have done wrong, but simply because they do not know how to handle to be around us anymore. This is not about us. It’s their own internal battle that pushes us away. Is their survival mechanism.

In this particular dilemma we get stuck. It is hard to deal with rejection, abandonment and forgetfulness. We do not understand why they have rejected us, have pushed us away or have simply forgotten us. It hurts because we do not want to be rejected. We don’t want to be forgotten like we were just a mere leaf that the wind blew by. Unfortunately, it does happened, and the enemy likes to take advantage of those situations to drill in our minds how worthless we are. That them forgetting is a sign how inexistent or little meaning you had in their lives.

Guess what? That is not true! People do not determine our worth! Them forgetting about you and leaving you in the air cannot control your mind with unnecessary frustration. Them choosing to forget cannot control. You know why? God says that even when people forget us or the good we have done in their lives God doesn’t forget us! How wonderful is that!
Isaiah described it like a mother that cannot forget her child. How much more precious are we to Lord Almighty! We are His children and He cares for us. Even when loneliness and abandonment wants to sink us in a whole of desperation and worthlessness God says it is not like that. Man can hurt, walk away and forget but our everlasting God will not forget us. He said I will not leave you or forsake you.

Be assured brothers and sisters that God is still present. Even when everyone has deserted you and may have even forgotten your name God says, “Yet, I will not forget you.”

I am tired!!!!!!!!
My internal scream whose echo rumbles through my inside like a massive nonstopable earthquake. I am not tired of working, studying or the daily. That tiredness is physical and psychological. It is normal and comes with this thing we live every day called life. The tiredness that shakes my soul is a deep one. It is one that no spa, medication, meditation, or excersise can relax. Is that one that consumes the soul.
That tiredness that comes from trying on my own. Trying to submit to the Word and see how it does not sink into my heart but like a slow passing wind drifts out of my mind. Then without notice a stronger wind pushes me into what I do not want to do. I am tired of pretending I can handle it. Like moving sand I sink slowly in the idea I can control the situation. I am tired of not getting into my head that I need more of Christ! That without Him I am lost, abandoned and in a pit. I am tired of going into the Israelite cycle of sin, repentance and forgiveness and back again. What can I do? My heart is burdened. My eyes are full of tears which refuse to come out from the shame of one more time realizing I failed in my attempt to please God. I am tired of being a stumbling block for others those that looked to me in a time where I was firm on the rock which is Jesus Christ.
Now the question that rises is what can I do? Keep relying on myself and keep believing that I can control the situation? Will I give up and lay aside the wonderful salvation and eternal life Christ has given me?
I REFUSE TO!!!!!!!!!!
If I place on one side of the scale what the world gives me and on the other what Christ has given me. I would tell you the abundance mercy, grace, love, joy and security that Christ has given me outweighs all. Not by an ounce or pound but by the weight of His blood that was shed for me. It’s my place to honor that blood, that sacrifice that was given for me. I have to honor the God whose love can never be measured.
Tiredness comes. I, as many of you, may be tired of the fight and sometimes wanting to give up wanting just to rest from the fight. But what would be the point of receiving a rest that is temporary and artificial and its end is death. Tiredness is there. The pain is there. What I chose is to give everything to Christ even if it hurts me. It may take some time and maybe restrictions or even giving up things. All comes to that moment on the Cross and the sacrifice that was given for me. In the end the benefits outweigh the present pain.

Romans 7:15-24
For what I am doing, I do not understand. For what I will to do, that I do not practice; but what I hate, that I do. If, then, I do what I will not to do, I agree with the law that it is good. But now, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find. For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice. Now if I do what I will not to do, it is no longer I who do it, but sin that dwells in me. I find then a law, that evil is present with me, the one who wills to do good. For I delight in the law of God according to the inward man. But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from this body of death?

2 Corinthians 4:17
For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory…

New Year, New Changes

To My Followers and Readers,

Well readers I know I have been absent for a good while and I do apologize for this.

Thankful Faith

We start the month of be thankful. Even though we should be thankful at all times this month is taken into our culture to bring forth to remembrance the things for which we are thankful for. Now, seeing this I would like to bring a perspective as Christians we constantly forget or don’t realize the importance of being thankful for what you have not yet seen. Yes, I said what you don’t see.

We declare the Word of God, His promises, but we neglect to give thanks to God for them when they have not yet come to pass. Why should we? Because if He has said it in His Word it is true and will come to pass. We should be thanking Him for every promise that He has made us and the wonderful future of fulfillment that is to come into our lives.

If you are sick thank Him for the marvelous healing He is doing and will complete in your life. “By His stripes you are healed”

If you are battling depression and it seems like the vicious mood cycle and lack of concentration will not end thank Him for the freedom He has declared and done over you life. “He came to set the captives free”

If you are facing troubled times where right decisions are difficult to make thank Him for guiding you to the truth and helping you face this time with strength. “His Spirt will guide you in spirit and in truth.”

For every situation there is a promise and if we believe and ask God to fulfill that promise according to His will in our life we can be assured it will. We can start thanking Him in advance for the tremendous things He will do.

You would notice I didn’t say if have gone through this. I said if you are going through it. Thank God for what you have asked that you have not yet seen Him answer. Thank God before it happens. He has said; it will happen. So why not take the time to thank Him ahead of the wonderful works that He is to do in our lives.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

That my friend is a THANKFUL FAITH.

How Do You Feel?

How do you feel right now?

Do you feel anxious? Probably doing that “tick” thing that you do when you are trying to keep your head straight.

Maybe you are worried about the decisions you have to make. You are analyzing every possible scenario creating different situations that may come.

Maybe you are just trying to finish something that seems never to be finished.

Maybe your relationships are never coming to the happily ever after and frustration has sinked in.

Maybe you feel empty because as much as you try to fill with material things or entertainments the void does not seem to go away.

Maybe loneliness has trapped you. Even with people around you it seems you’re the only being on the planet.

How many times have people asked you this? Unless people know of a situation that is going on in your life most likely they won’t. Most of the time we forget that every day God wants to know how we feel. He wants us to pour our hearts in His presence and tell Him what has hurt us or what struggle we are facing that we have no clue to. Yes, God knows everything, but in His lovingkindness He wants to have this wonderful relationship with us that we may share everything with Him. He wants us to go to Him FIRST and tell Him what is going on inside us. The wonderful part is that there is no protocol! We can present ourselves before Him. Doesn’t matter if you are throwing a tantrum, looking at the ceiling crying, or just asking why; He will hear. David understood this clearly. He came before the Lord with questions, praises, ashamed, needing comfort, not understanding and pretty much every possible way. David knew the only one that will truly understand how he felt was the One who created him and had the power to change everything for his good.

The question is no longer how do you feel. Is Do you know who KNOWS how you feel?                              The only One is Christ.

For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.                                                                                       Hebrews 4:15

Just Happy!

It is so hard to be happy sometimes. Notice what I said be not feel. I always struggled with this. I wanted to feel happy every day, but rarely decided to be happy.

Feeling happy goes away as quick as the wind blows our way the wrong direction, but being happy is different. When I feel happy is an emotion, but when I’m being happy that means I am content and have joy. Everything may not be going how I want, but I am still enjoying life. Don’t we say we want to be happy in life? Most times when things are good we say I feel happy today. Just today? The circumstances are dictating if you are happy or not happy. Happiness is more of the inside than the outside. It is not about what happens, but of what we choose. That is when happiness turns to joy.  If we choose to be happy then joy will be your companion. If we let outside circumstances dictate our happiness we will constantly be on an emotional roller coaster of happiness, sadness, disapointment and other feelings that may come. Yes, these come from time to time. Is not like you will be laughing and giggling all the time, but you have a surety inside of you that you still have joy.  This is how I can see it.

“…Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”  Nehemiah 8:10b

I always wanted to feel happy and be like many people giggling all the time. I am not like that. I thought something was wrong with me. I learned happiness is a certainty that this life is a gift from God for me to enjoy it. That every day has its challenges, but with God by my side I will  face it. Just knowing He will be always by my side no matter what is the best reason to have joy in my life. When I serve God diligently and seek His face the Joy of the Lord becomes my strength in every situation. This is what allows me to not only feel happy, but BE happy in my life.

Job 2:9     Then his wife said to him, “Do you still hold fast to your integrity? Curse God and die!”

Job 27:5  Far be it from me That I should say you are right; Till I die I will not put away my integrity from me.

What does integrity mean to you? We learn since early age what is honesty. We are drilled on the right things we have to always do, and the wrong things that always will bring forth a punishment. We are taught to be honest. But rarely were we taught to have integrity. What is the difference? What does it mean to have integrity before God? Are we being integral before God in all we do?

Honesty vs. Integrity

Honesty is truthfulness, sincerity or frankness – Its synonyms are integrity, probity, rectitude. When we are honest  truthfulness in all we do is our companion

Integrity is adherence to moral and ethical principle. It is the state of being whole, entire, or undiminished. Its synonyms are rectitude, probity, virtue. When we have integrity all we do is truthful, right and in accordance with our values.

Integrity of the world

It shows you can be trusted.  It shows you will do the right thing of what you are told.

Integrity before God

Is doing everything in accordance to God’s values stated in His Word.

When we look at integrity before God we have to see that is not only having the moral and ethical values that the Word of God gives us, but the major part is to follow, put in practice and maintain it in us over all types of circumstances that may come, even if people do not agree or the circumstances are not in our favor.

Integrity before God means we want and desire with all our hearts to honor Him, obey Him and serve Him in every way, circumstance and situation even the worst ones.

Is doing what God wants and is right in His eyes over what we think is right and is right to our convenience.

It is faithfulness to God – Job 2:3

Job was God’s faithful servant. On Job 1:3, God describes him as there being no other like him on earth. Do you imagine God saying that about you? Why was Job so special? God answered that saying that he was “perfect and upright.” Job’s faithfulness to God made him perfect and upright.

It is faith in action

When your integrity adheres to the Word of God, (which is your guidance) is maintained. You are using your faith put in action knowing that God is more important than anything else in your life. That every situation that come you decide to stay by His side than drift away from Him.

Your faith is shifted towards doing everything for His glory whether in word or action even in the worst times.

In Psalm 25:21 David expresses “Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.” David was calling to God while trouble surrounded him and ask God that integrity and uprightness preserve him. Why? Because David knew that if he maintained his integrity before God and kept obeying God over everything and doing what He commanded him instead of taking matters into his own hand, while he waited God will take care of the rest.

Our Integrity

We should keep faithful to the Word of God over everything and everyone.                                                                                        We should maintain our integrity before God in all situations even the ones that hurt us.

Maintain our trust, faith, service and gratitude above all things we will be able to say like Job 27:5 “God forbid that I should justify you: till I die I will not remove mine integrity from me.”

Keep Calm

Let not your heart be troubled by the circumstances that you may be facing. In the middle of the storm God is working. It may not seem like it but all He is allowing not only will strengthen your faith, but will gear you to your purpose. Trust God that NOTHING is out of His hand. Everything will be arranged to your favor and benefit in the right time and right moment. In the wait cling to Him, to His Word and know He will do greater things than you have ever imagined in your life. It is all part of your process and restoration. Is all for you to KNOW Him like you have never thought. God is fighting your battle. Now just rest in Him.

Take time

Seek the Lord while He may be found, Call upon Him while He is near. Isaiah 55:6

Time rumbles in our life constantly. We depend on it. It gives us a sense of order in this chaotic world. Sometimes or most of it we don’t appreciate it as we should especially when it comes towards our attention to God. I had to ask myself a question. Are we really in a time that we can allow ourselves to restrict time from our relationship with God? This is the most crucial time in history where us, the church and body of Christ, should not restrict God our time. Christ is at the door. He is coming soon!
We make countless excuses concerning the environment that surrounds us. Unfortunately, the real truth is that without God we are nothing and can’t do a thing. We are so vulnerable in our human nature that Is only with God that we are strong. He is and has to be the center of our lives. When we acknowledge that what we lack He will provide, that what we can’t do He will, and that overall things He is in control of everything. Then and only then will our trust and confidence will be absolutely on Him. No excuse will be strong enough to keep us from spending wonderful time in prayer and His Word with the only one that can direct our lives in the path of abundant blessings that overpass our thinking.
Take time to be with The Lord no matter how big or small. It is a matter of always acknowledging the need of Him for everything and that your days when they are guided by Him will always bring forth blessing.

Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him. James 1:12

Have you ever counted how many times you are tempted in a day? Personally, I don’t try to because I will probably lose count very quickly. Most of us in this path are constantly being bombarded with different and unexplainable situations that want to shake our faith. At the end of each encounter you feel like you have been moving around surrounding mines all over just to get by only that day.

Temptations come in so many different ways that makes the battle seem endless. When we have decided in our hearts to follow Christ the enemy puts anything and everything he can to take us off focus from the attention to God and into his desires.

Imagine temptations as mines in a minefield. The minefield we are traveling is this world and the environment. The mines are every temptation along the way in our path to the Lord. The soldier does not go around digging holes to see where the mines are. As so, we should not be looking constantly where the temptations are. Our job is simply being a cautious soldier in this mine field. The mines are going to be there, but if you sharpen your skills with the Word of God and prayer you will be able to discern the enemy’s tactics and win each step until you achieve the goal which ultimately is living a righteous life in Christ.

God said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.” He said NEVER!

He gave a promise to us that we would be blessed if we endure temptation. What a wonderful God we serve that told us that it is worth resisting temptation! There is a reward! A crown of life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Start today not being afraid of temptation, but be cautious about it with Faith that God is with you in everything. Understand that over all your eyes have to be always towards Christ. He will take your through it.

A Woman’s Miracle

The most important thing we have with God is access to Him through Christ. When we accept Christ as our Savior he becomes our defender, our intercessor and most important the only way to be part of the blessings God the Father has in stored for us in His Kingdom. When we see God there are many times we think He is too far, too busy, too big or just because He is not visible we see His works on our human mind very impossible. In Jeremiah, God asked the prophet “…is there anything impossible for me?” Jeremiah 32:27 He saw so impossible in his human eyes what God was going to do, God had to remind Him of His absolute power and mighty that there was nothing that could stop from what He wants to do. (Isaiah 46:9-10)

As a woman we want to have someone to care for us. We always look for a man, family, work, or careers to satisfy our needs. These are easy targets because for our human conscience they are tangible and real. It is hard to call on God because He does not work with our human nature so His responses are not always in the ways we expect or understand. God seems as He can I answer but rarely I see Him answering. What if we change our perspective? Instead of trying to decipher just follow Him in faith till we can receive from Him what we have longed for?

I. The Wait

a. We do not like to wait. That is our human nature. Waiting is one of the most gratifying things in life especially if what you are waiting for is God and His glory to be manifested in your life.

b. They waited for Jesus to arrive

i. Jesus WILL arrive to your situation

II. Desperation

a. (v.41) Jairus was desperate. His daughter was dying. He knew Jesus was the only chance he had. His position in society was a powerful one, ruler of the synagogue. This man was in the most prominent position of religious power. The Pharisees and Sadducees which were type of theologian of our day did not believe in Jesus. This man that was all influenced by these that did not believe realized there was something Jesus could do. Jairus humiliated himself. Being a well respected community member falling at Jesus feet in front of the crowd was a great humiliation.

i. We need to understand that no matter what we may have in life humiliation and surrendering to Christ is the key to having our needs supplied. (Psalm 138:6)

b. The woman was also a desperate one. Her sickness had been oppressing her for 12 years. Any material possibility was wasted. Her life was slowly ending. She was waiting for Jesus. She was scared but brave enough to go beyond what people expected. People expected her to stay in her place (which was being outcast of society). She broke the expectations.

i. Are you willing to break the expectations in order to get closer to Christ in order to receive your healing both emotional and physical?

ii. Are you going to do it passively or actively?

1. Passively – you wait and wait for God to do something the way you think He will do it and at the time you think. When it doesn’t happen you get frustrated and think God does not respond or forgot about you.

2. Actively – you wait in surrendering, supplication, prayer, and the Word of God until you receive what you have so much desired.

iii. Her reward was the most precious gift you could get. Salvation. Not only was her sickness healed but she received Salvation (v.48) “Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace”
