Its the shadow of the unknown

Its the breeze that blows without notice

The surprising yawning

It is all that I can’t control

I look at them

Through my eyes in rain

I can not stop to be afraid

Of what may come my way

I could stop all

I could hide from everything I don’t know

But is that senseless

To the world that God has placed me to grow?

It is senseless  on my part

Retrieving because of fear of what may come

I prefer confronting and moving on

I have someone I can truly trust

He knows what I know not

He can guide me to victory in all

He has the power to control

Everything adverse and more

Christ, that is His name

There’s no other like Him on Earth

My security I can see in Him

Because of His death I can live freely indeed

Story Of A Man

I will tell you today

About a lost who never seem to find his way

During times frustration will fill

The deepness of his heart and will

How could he find what was never found?

How would he reach that which was not around?

His desires sank low

In the shadows of despair and lack of hope

What was he going to do?

He knew not the way to pursue

A dream, a thought or just something new

There was nothing that he could see

Something that will give the hope that he wanted in him

Then one day, not specific indeed

It may have been by coincidence, he thinks

He found someone that captivated his heart

Someone from everyone so set apart

Christ, may I say came to Him

Changed everything in his life

It was almost like a dream

Truly no dream, but reality indeed

He received the hope that was longed by him

Today his life has been changed

That man no longer wonders vaguely through life

He knows now the way of triumph and love

He received Christ as His Savior

The real happiness and hope

On This Day 29 – Be Thankful

How many situations do you go through every day? How many do you think you can be thankful for? Are you thankful for the good ones but not for the bad ones? Thankfulness is a whole. Thankfulness is defined as being pleased and relieved. When God is in our lives we can be please that He is by our side and relieved that He can do what we can not do. We have to be thankful for the whole thing, the good and the bad. Situations may not always line up with our desires or goals but in God’s plans for our lives they are lining up. Whether is seeing what you expected come to pass or not seeing it work as you expected be thankful. Thankfulness is gratitude to God. Is this wonderful praise that we have inside of us because we know God is good. He is in control of ALL situations in our lives. He knows what is best better than we do.

On this day just thank Him for what He has done, what He is doing, and what marvellous work He will do that will be a more glorious blessing than you have ever thought. God is in control.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.

Romans 8:28

On This Day 28 – Just Pray

We go through so many things. In many of them feel so overwhelmed, anxious and just plain disturbed in our mind and hearts. When those moments arise is like our mind goes blank on what we are supposed to do. We think about everything thats wrong and how is affecting our life, but we just don’t seem to find the way to get through it. The simple answer lies in the reality of where our focus is. If our focus, even in the middle of the caos and disturbance, is Christ we have a surety inside our soul that we are not going through it alone. When our focus shifts from Christ to what we have encountered it becomes a rollercoaster of emotions that sometimes are so incontrolable even to the most spiritual Christian. What could we do in those circumstances we face that seem so impossible to bare? The answer lies in one word, Pray. This praying is not the one that you will hear from a pulpit with the elegant words. It is the prayer of supplication, rendition and need that comes from the deepness of your soul to the only one, the Almighty God, that can help you in this situation. It is not a prayer of quantity of words, but of a full trust in Whom is faithful.

On this day things maybe overwhelming and uncertain, but in the middle of thing know that prayer is the most powerful weapon to overcome any situation. Today pray knowing that God is there to listen.

Call upon Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.

Psalm 50:15

Note – New Followers

Hello! May God bless you abundantly! I want to extend a warm welcome to my new followers! I would normally go and write on each individuaI blog, unfortunately, I am quite busy these days and truly there has been more than I expected which I am truly greatful. I still did not want to pass the opportunity to say THANK YOU!!!!!!!! I hope on the Lord this blog may be a blessing to your life and that through poetry, a word and others your spirit may be refreshed by the Holy Spirit. This walk is not easy, but its reward goes far beyond our expectations.

Don’t give up on the Lord…He will never give up on you! HE IS FAITHFUL!

On This Day 26 – It’s Going to Be Ok

On this day…Every thing will be ok…

Don’t you love when in the midst of your worst moment someone comes and tells you,”Don’t worry everything is going to be ok.”  The look on your face of wanting to grab them and pull them inside of you so they can really see what you are feeling and never again in their life say that phrase to you again. There are situations in life no one will be able to understand what you feel, how you feel and even understand why or what you are goin through it. Truly, they will not be able to help you. Why? Because the only One that truly can get inside of you and examine the deepness of your heart is God. No matter how many times you hear that phrase from people it is not the same as hearing it from God Himself.

He does know what you are going through. He does know how you feel. Most importantly, He knows the solution and the way to heal your heart. God has said it in His Word you just have to trust Him. On this day you may not like to hear that phrase from others, but learn that if God says it, it is true and He has control over your situation and will provide a way.

Isaiah 41:10

Fear not, for I am with you;
Be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you,
Yes, I will help you,
I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.

I Will Wait

I still look at you from a distance
The one you placed between both

I see your pain
Your miserable state
I just wonder when you will look my way
When will you choose to accept

That your ways no good will bring
That all your efforts will bring you to receive
Nothing that will satisfy
Your pain, the deep on inside

I would love for you to look in my eyes
Just for a second, you will see the love in me lies

This love which nothing you do can change
I still see you the same
My son, my daughter, my wonderful creation
I am Christ who waits to give you salvation

Poetry Y.R.

On This Day 24 – Stay Quiet

On this day stay quiet…

You know you are doing right and following God’s path for you when you face the enemy’s opposition. It is in those times that you are giving everything to Christ that the enemy responds with opposition, disappointment, and just using people to take you off the course God has intended for you. So what do you do? Do you sit and whine why me? NO! You stand up in Faith and trust God knowing that the battle is not yours is the Lords. Use the Word of God and His promises as your mental shield from the influence of the comments, reactions or attitudes that want to corrupt your path. Today remember that God is for you! You do not have to defend yourself. He will. Trust Him.

Romans 8:31

What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?

Destruction to Life

How I wonder

The life I chose

Not perfect at all

Many mistakes in it I have done

Was everything worth it?

The choices I mean

Did they bring life

Or slowly killed me?

They did both I see

The wrong ones destoryed me

The right ones lifted me up

From all of them I have learned some

The most hurting I can remember to be

Was giving my heart to a nobody

I gave all and received just pain

Emotional, psychological and physical I say

All in one came to attack

My fragile and devastated heart

I thought no one would ever want

Someone so broken like I was

I tried to get up

Inside destroyed

Still in the deepness of myself

Remembered the name that once brought joy

I remembered Jesus

How He was always with me

And at this moment of disgrace

I could still call upon Him

I called not really believing

That after so long I was worth to something be receiving

The love, compasion and understanding

My heart, my life so much needed

He answered to my surprise

I was dead in sin and lies

But He still answered

To give me life

I will tell you it was no easy task

Surrendering to Him my life and my heart

But through the process I have seen

How’s He turned destruction to a life of victory

Poetry Y.R.

On This Day 23 – Be A Kid

Hectic week but seeing the glory of God in different lives. This last week giving a Bible class to my youth I asked each one what made them sad and happy…The older ones responded with church, sports, games and other things…then the smallest about ten years old impacted me with his answer…He tells me that what makes him happy is knowing that Jesus is part of his life and is by his side….Then I asked what made them sad and he answers…That Jesus would not be in my life!!! The Word of God is powerful saying that we have to be like children to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. We have to see our happiness based on Jesus and see our greatest sadness to be away from Him and not having Him in our lives.  Is time to seek more and cling more to Jesus our Saviour!

On This Day 22 – I Want To Think

On this day just think…

There are not much words that can be uttered at this moment. We are seeing so many terrible things that have been goin on that if I wanted to bring something jolly in some way our minds will drift from a very important thing. We live in such a hurried pace every day, and rarely take the time to think. Think about yourself, your family and most importantly your relationship with God. Times like these make us reflect on our own individual position in life and before God.

Think about all the things you want and then think of all those things that other people in the World don’t have it.

Think about the security you may have in your life and then think about those that have lost it and do not even know what is to feel secure in life with a shadow of constant threat.

Think about your family and the love you give them and then think about those that only have themselves and no one else to count on.

Think  about what you lack and then still thank God you lack of them so that you can remember everything you have He will provide according to His will.

Think about your relationship with God, of His goodness to you and then think about those that have not heard of Christ.

Think about what is lacking in your relationship with God, and make every effort to get closer to Him.

Finally, just think about what needs to be changed. Times are not getting better and Christ is at the door. It is our time to think and act on the understanding that without God we can do NOTHING!

Psalms 141:1

Lord, I cry out to You; Make haste to me!
Give ear to my voice when I cry out to You

On This Day 21 – He Will Do

trust god will

On this day know that He will do…

God is all powerful! We tend to forget that. There is no task He can not complete. He will do. Wait and see the great thing God will do. In your situation, all doors may look close, the hope may be almost gone but still KNOW HE WILL! God is drafting a marvelous plan for your situation. It is He who will receive the glory for the outcome. It will not because of knowledge, skill or movement but by the mighty power of His hand. On this day know that even when things look like there is no possibility remember He is the God of the impossible!

Note – Boston

I want us to think about this tragic event. Pray for the people injured, lost and harmed and their families. The times we are living are not getting better. We have to be prepared and cling more to God than ever. More than ever prayer has to be our best weapon to use. My prayer goes to all of Boston. This is another event that did not hurt individuals but it has shaken the nation. May God give strength to all.

On This Day 20 – I Will Wait

On this day I will wait…

The saying is…“Patience is a virtue”. Ok. Patience is defined as an ability or willingness to suppress restlessness or annoyance when confronted with delay. Now let me tell you what is virtue. Virtue is defined as a good or admirable quality or property. What a lovely definitions! The bad part is that most of us (at least 98%) don’t have the good or admirable quality or property of Patience. Why? Look around you. The world we live now does not help your attitude and daily life to acquire and maintain the quality or property of patience. We want this now! That is what we say.

I know about that. Just in these days I was all going crazy because I decided Android was done for me so I wanted an IPhone 4S or 5. I just wanted a new gadget. I thought I was in heaven when a friend of mine agreed to sell me his. Awesome! Well, not quite. Being overseas I need it unlocked and his was not (Sprint). What happened? I went bananas looking for ways to unlock it. Then not finiding anything I opted to immediately go get a brand new phone. The problem is I was restless and annoyed looking for this quick way to avoid the delay on what I wanted. After some time my head was pounding so hard for all the time searching I finally gave up. Sitting in my room I realized my lack of patience and foolishness of wanting something that I can really wait for.

How many times we think God has to do or bring up something when we want? We should be patient. This is not something you say or memorize is something like excersise. You try a little today, a little tomorrow and with time you are able to work it out. God has a lot of patience with us. We should have it with others and with ourselves. Most importantly give God the chance to do it His way and wait patiently. You may get mega surprised by Him. On this day… Just wait.

I waited patiently for the Lord; And He inclined to me, And heard my cry. Psalms 40:1

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us… Ephesians 3:20

Life’s Storm

I am contemplating from far-off

My troubles and insecurities

Just everything in my life

Different view I may abide

May be to see clearer or just find

The truth of the matter hidden inside

My life, yes, inside there

Where not even I can really get

I know the daily troubles but not clearly

The passing of the hours beat me to the race

That one of finding the real truth

Of what is constantly hurting

Not the external but the deep ones

That no matter the day, week or time

They simply tend to take over everything

All the areas of the inside of my life

Yes, those are tough

They come unexpectedly

And in essence you don’t know

Where they came from

How can I fight them?

I have to ask

How can I fight

When I don’t know what is hurting inside?

I can fight the only way I know

Praying and Trusting

Clinging to the Word of My Lord

It is Him who will help me through this life’s storm

On This Day 19 – God Knows

On this day just relax…God knows…

We live so worried about God’s will for our lives. I know how frustrating it can be when we know we have to make decisions, but we don’t know how to proceed. Like me, you may be asking yourself, how can I know? Is all through prayer, His Word and over all Faith in His guidance. Even if things don’t make sense now and the way God is taking you may not seem “normal” to your thinking when you trust Him that all His plans are to prosper you and not to harm you; you will be able to move in Faith.  Today understand God knows. His plans are perfect. Just Trust Him.

On This Day 18 – No Excuse

On this day I put no excuses…

What is important to you? Is it yourself, your family, your career or some hobby? Is it what you can achieve o what you can obtain? Or is it God? We have so many ambitions and desires all centered on what we can or will do. Today I want you to think deeply and examine yourself. How many excuses have you brought before God to not do the things He has asked you?  To do them the way He wants? How many more arguments are you going to have late at night with Him bringing forth your arguments of how you are not capable to do what He has asked? Did you forget Moses? Look what happened when Moses brought his excuse before God look what He said…

Then Moses said to the LORD, O my Lord, I am not eloquent, neither before nor since You have spoken to Your servant: but I am slow of speech, and of a slow tongue. So the LORD said to him, Who has made man’s mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth, and teach you what you shall say. Exodus 4:10-12

Moses brought excuses before God and God brought to his rememberance His unquestionable power. When it came to these blogs I put a lot of excuses in my head but God showed me it was His will, time and that He was to guide me through it. Whether is a task, a service to someone (even one you may not like), or a Word of God planted in your heart to give someone or to pray for someone; if He has asked you is because He knows you can accomplish it. Today let your love for Him be so great that even though you may not think of yourself uncapable you will allow his teaching and guidence to accomplish the work because you want to do God’s will. Today trust that with Him everything is possible and no excuse is needed.

I have looked around
Darkness abounds
Just here in this emptiness
The one that surrounds me now

I have desired
So many times
The alleviation
Of this pain inside

It feels like falling
Falling deep in a hole
My heart sinks
In this emptiness I hold

If you only knew
I hear a voice say
There is hope,
The real one, that will take away the pain

But who? I have tried all
I answered,
There is not a thing to do anymore
The suffering is like thorns

Yes there is, He replied
I am the hope you seek
I can set you free
I came to give you life

If you only take time
Look above to me
I am here to bring you life
It is me Christ, who died for your sins

Poetry Y.R.

On This Day 17 – Always There

On this day know…

There is nothing more important than to know you can rely on someone when things are quite not working the way they are supposed to. Have you felt alone one time or another? I have. The uncertainty of the “always there” person being around has made me rethink. We rely on relationships with others to strengthen our being, our emotions and in a way make sense of what life is supposed to be about.

I then ask myself, who is this “always there” person? Who can really be always there for me? Is there anyone that will actually listen through all my rantings of daily life? Who will be there through my unexpected explosions of emotions without having a sequenced heart attack with me, and still be able to give me a good advice that can make things change and seem unimportant again? Humanly, I have yet found someone that has that ability. No matter how much my close ones love me and care for me the truth of the matter is they can’t always be there and will not always understand. Yet, I know who, Christ. He is the friend that always has time, patience and understanding of all circumstances in our lives. God is Omnipresent! I love that about Him! No matter where we are or what happens He is there.

That is why I rely on God’s Word to confirm this to my heart for He said…

Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6

I thought life would bring me joy
I thought I could do things on my own
I thought I could play with everything like a toy
Now I know…I thought very wrong

I thought my decisions would be sufficient
I thought I was running my life efficient
I thought I was in all being proficient
Now I know…My thought was very deficient

I thought I could manage the challenge
I thought my actions would not matter
I thought I would be able to manage
Now I know…I mismanaged

I thought so many things
I thought that I could live
With thoughts that did not aligned
With the perfect plan of Divine

Now I look at my thoughts
So vague and so small
No treasure in them at all
No good to my life they brought

My thoughts are different now than before
They have sense and more
My thoughts are aligned with God’s plan
Not mine anymore
